Common Larkspur
(Delphinium Nuttallianum)

Form:
Up to 16 inches tall. Flowers alternate at top 6-8 inches of stem.
Leaves:
Alternate and basal, palmately divided and lobed, more or less
round in outline, upper stem leaves become smaller and bract-like.

Habitat:
Dry areas of Eastern Washington, sagebrush steppe. (Note:
this plant is poisonous and can cause livestock deaths)
