Creeping Oregon Grape
(Berberis repens)
Form:
Low to midium sized shrub.
Leaves:
Evergreen, shiny and leathery. spiny along the margin (holly-like).
Flowers:
Yellow in narrow racemes, sepals and petals similar, usually in 5
whorls, 3 per whorl. Fruits: blue to purple berries

Habitat:
East of Cascades, open slopes and forests.
Season:
Late spring (May-June) fruits in late summer.
