Form:

4 feet tall or more, the most robust of desert parsteys. Stems extend
|
high above the bright green foliage.

Leaves:
|
Broadly divided 2-4 times into linear oblong segments with
|
rounded tips. (Fern-like).
|
Flowers:
|
Purple or sometimes yellow, tiny flowers in cluster heads held in
|
umbrel formation. White anthers contrast with chocolate background.
|
Habitat:
|
Rocky areas and exposed soils. East of Cascades
|
|
Season:
|
Early spring (April-May)
|
