Leaves:

Basal leaves up to 6 inches, hairy beneath, smaller leaves continue

alternately up stem.

Flowers:

A cluster of up to 10 flowerheads, each with 8-10 petals,
|
bracts are black tipped.
|
Habitat:
|
Well drained soils
|

Season:
|
Spring (May-June) Springs up as soon as snow is gone.
