Prairie Star, Woodland Star
(Lithophragma bulbifera)
Form:
2-10 inch stems, hairy and purplish, with 3-5 flowers at tip
Leaves:
Basal group of palmately compound leaves, 1 inch long with
3-5 leaflets. stem leaves 3-lobed and the lobes 3-parted. Small red
bulblets on stem where leaves meet stem.

Flowers:
3-5 white to pinkish petals each with 3-5 thin fingers
Habitat:
Abundant on dry open areas
Season:
Spring (April-June)
