Short-beaked Agoseris, False dandelion
(Agoseris glauca)

Form:
A perennial herb from taproot. Stems are solitary or few,
4-28 inches. Milky juice used by native Americans as chewing gum and a medicine to treat sores.
Leaves:
All basal, 2-12 inches long, linear to lance shaped, smooth
to slightly hairy, margins smooth to wavy, toothed or lobed.

Habitat:
east of mountains in open forests, dry meadows.
Season:
Spring-summer (April-July)
