White Hawkweed
(Hieracium albjflorum)

Form:
Perennial from a woody fibrous-rooted stem base. 1-3 feet tall.
Stems solitary, exude milky juice when broken, usually bristly-hairy at base and hairless above.

Leaves:
Basal leaves oblong and hairy, stem leaves sparse, alternate,
lance-shaped.

Flower:
Several white composite heads in open inflorescence. White
ray flowers and no disk flowers.

Habitat:
Open forests and clearings.
Season:
Late June-July.
