GREENBELT/POOL
GARDEN COMMITTEE
Minutes of Greenbelt Committee, June 5, 2004
The Greenbelt/Pool Garden Committee had a planning meeting on
June 5 to determine which projects we wanted to work on this year.
Four committee members were present. Tim Olson also attended the
meeting.
Lorelie Olson reported that volunteers are needed to weed the
pool garden and that the landscaper for the pool has been contacted.
Tim asked if the committee could support a proposal that he and
his neighbors had to clean up and take down a grove of trees in
the greenbelt area. The committee approved the proposal so Tim
will now be presenting it to the Board.
It was decided that certain members of the committee need to
check out the various trails and report back at the next meeting
what work will be needed on the trails. The Committee wants to
improve the trail maps and make some wildflower, bird and butterfly
cards or brochures that could easily be carried while hiking our
trails. And, of course since it is June, everyone needs to pull
knapweed around the Ponderosa.
We plan to have short business meetings on the first Saturday
of the month at 8:30am, with work parties following and we will
also have work parties on the third Saturday of the month. The
next meeting will be July 3rd at 8:30AM at the picnic tables.
