Greenbelt Committee Meeting
10-25-08

Steve read the minutes of the 09/08 meeting.  They were approved as read.
Pam gave an update on the new trail on Stirrup and Shetland.  It will need lot’s of clean-up work but will be a nice trail and it will interest with existing trails.  The committee decided it would be a good spring project.  It was suggested to name the trail Vine Maple.  It was approved.  Steve will ask John Cross to place posts at the start of the trail on Stirrup and Shetland.  Cheryl and Pam have marked the trail.  Pam and Sheryl will check on having signs made for the new trail.

There is a lot on Saddle that is being cleared and some of the trees and brush are on the Pinedrop greenbelt trail.  Steve will ask Bob to check it out and contact the owner or logger and make sure they clean up the greenbelt.

The committee approved the purchase of new “No Motorized Vehicles” signs.  Bob will order.

The committee will install new signage on the sledding hill (Sled at our own Risk).  Steve will ask Bob if it would be possible to clear a spot (off the road) on Saddle for parking for the Sledding Hill during the winter sledding time.

New Business
Pam will work on a new trail map during the winter and have a rough draft ready for our April meeting in 2009.
Steve reported that Andrew Campbell asked to meet with him today at noon.  It was decided that at least two other members join Steve.  We understand Andrew Campbell wants to discuss brush cutting and limbing on the Greenbelt that is next to his property.  We will meet with him and then we will make a recommendation to the Board.  The Greenbelt Committee unanimously agreed to adhere to the easement in effect.

Meeting adjourned at 9:05

Chipping is the activity for the day.

Work Party Update:
Steve notified all committee members regarding the work party (via email).  The event was also publicized on the website and the reader board.  In addition, signs were made (and posted) throughout the Ponderosa.  With that said, we only had one non-committee member show up for the work party.
