Since I was asked if I wanted this position I have reviewed the social committee binder and have a few ideas for this year.  The first one being an Easter egg hunt; I wrote about this in my article for the Needler with hopes to get some feedback about interest in it.  I am also thinking about a chili and/or spaghetti feed.  I know I have a budget for those kinds of things, but I was thinking of making it an all you can eat buffet and raise money for our fire department.  What do you think about this idea?

With Sharyl Nelson’s help I was shown around the clubhouse and the office.  We went through all the cupboards in the clubhouse in an effort to organize and consolidate, as well as do a current inventory, and I think it was a great success.  Also, I am currently researching the possibility of getting some clear green glass coffee mugs embossed with a pine tree and “Ponderosa Community Club”.  However, I am having some trouble finding anywhere that I can order less that 72 (we only wanted 24)…what do you think about selling the remainder as a fundraiser for our park?
