I know that currently and recently nothing has been going on with the social committee. However, the chili feed is coming up on November 22, 2008. The following week is the clubhouse decorating which I plan on buying some new decorations for (the money is available, and some of the items need replacing and we could use some more anyway). December, as usual, will be the most expensive month. Following the board meeting on the 13th is the annual potluck. The social committee will be providing all the meat and beverages. And then on the 31st is the New Years Eve party which the social committee will be providing everything except alcohol.

I believe that with purchasing all of the needed items for these events as well as a few things that are needed for the clubhouse, I will use up the budget.

Next year there will be more actual events now that I know what to do and expect. For instance, an Easter egg hunt, a Halloween party, more BBQs during the summer.

I am also working on an article for the Needler and will take Gina's advise to ask for people to come forward if they wish to sponsor an event with the social committee budget backup.
