Fire Regulations

Campfire permits are available for a 3 ft. x 3 ft. x 3 ft. fire. Burn only unprocessed forest waste, during open burning season. The season is usually open, closed during the dry summer season and will not open until the wet weather comes in the fall. When the season is closed, there will be "NO CAMPFIRE" signs on the mailboxes and on the fire danger indicator sign at the entrance. See the fire hall window for a list of permit issuers.

Large slash burns are permitted from Oct. 1 - June 1 as long as a permit is secured and the site and time have been approved by the Fire Chief (763-3581). Slash piles are limited to 10 ft. x 10 ft.
