Fire Department Information

Chelan County Fire District #4 is a county agency staffed by volunteers living in your area. We are fully funded by your tax dollars. Fire Commissioners are elected and meet on the second Monday of each month at 1900 hrs at the fire hall.

Our capabilities are:
Structure Fire
Wildland Fire
Emergency Medical ( Basic Life Support Non Transporting )
Rope and River Rescue

What to do in a Fire Emergency

If a major fire threatens the Ponderosa our evacuation alarm is, the siren, going on for 15 minutes. 3 minutes off and two minutes on. Pack up you family and pets. Proceed to the open green areas in Plain, and await further instruction. Do not come to the fire hall. We’ll be busy. Turn off sprinklers and pack up prescriptions, take those family pictures and important papers and just dump the files or drawers into a garbage bag for transport, don’t waste time sorting through papers.
