PONDEROSA COMMUNITY CLUB
SWIMMING POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. The pool will be opened temporarily for the weekend of Memorial Day, weather permitting.  The swimming pool will be reopened when the local schools close for the summer, (approximately Mid-June) or when the cool weather no longer impacts usage and operation costs.  It will remain open six days a week, health codes permitting, until approximately mid-Sept. when cool weather impacts usage and operating costs.  Hours are from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.  The first and last operating hour of each day will be reserved for the use of persons 21 years of age, or older. 
  2. No running or horse play in the pool area.
  3. No use by persons with communicable diseases.
  4. No use by persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  5. Showers MUST be taken before entering the pool and again after the application of lotion or oil.
  6. No food or drink in the pool water.
  7. No glass containers in the pool area.
  8. No alcoholic beverages in the pool area.
  9. Children who are NOT POTTY TRAINED ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE POOLS because of the E-Coli potential.
  10. Children 12 years of age and under MUST have a responsible adult 18 years or older accompany them and be IN the pool area at all times.
  11. For persons age 13 – 17 there MUST BE A MINIMUM of two persons present at all times. (Buddy system)
  12. Keep all chairs, lounges, towels, etc. at least 4 feet from the edge of pool.
  13. The pool area is locked during the non-operation hours of 10:00 PM and 10:00 AM.
  14. The pool will be closed in the event any foreign objects or potentially hazardous materials are found.  An event such as this needs to be reported immediately, and the pool cleared.  In addition, the pool will be closed if the water becomes cloudy, as this is an indication of a chemical imbalance, frequently caused by the presence of oils and lotions in the water.
  15. Proper safety procedures are to be used to reduce injury.  NO FLOTATION DEVICES AND NO DIVING!
  16. The pool is for members and their guests ONLY.  Your guests may use the pool IF accompanied by you.  The presence of non-members in the pool should be reported to a Board Member

 

PERSONS REFUSING TO OBEY THESE REGULATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO REMOVAL FROM THE WATER RECREATIONAL FACILITY.  ALL MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUPPORT THESE RULES OR FACE THE LOSS OF OUR LICENSE.

 

These rules are subject to amendment, depending on State, County Laws, and/or a Board approved change.
